On account of his depressing life experiences, Justus League rapper L.e.g.a.c.y. (an acronym for Life Ends Gradually and Changes You) combines his skillful yet dark lyrics with morose wordplay. The traditional {hip-hop} influences like Rakim and Big L are evident in his style, but he also cites the similarly bleak songwriting of {
ock} legends Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain as having a deep impact also. The North Carolina MC was inducted into the reputable Justus League collective in 2001. He had already known its chief producer, 9th Wonder, as a co-worker, booking reservations at a Holiday Inn, but both of them did not know that either did {
ap} music. As soon as L.e.g.a.c.y. joined, he and 9th churned out a number of songs together, some appearing on his 2003 Legsclusives mixtape. Interlaced with themes and excerpts from the 1996 movie Fight Club, his debut album, Project Mayhem (also a reference from the movie), was released in mid-2005. ~ Cyril Cordor, Rovi
