Stabbing Claims Life of Terrace Woman

A Terrace boy is in RCMP custody, after a local woman was stabbed to death over the weekend.

Police say they were called to the 46-hundred block of Haugland Avenue at around 11:15 Saturday night, where they located a woman who was bleeding heavily, due to multiple stab wounds. 

She was rushed to nearby Mills Memorial Hospital where efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.  Her name is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.

Police say the victim and the suspect were known to each other.

The boy's name cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
